Compensation: This is an unpaid position | Part-Time
The majority of the Intern’s time will have direct access with employees and helps to support their daily activities which in turn help the Care Managers interact with families served. For more specialized majors (ie. Software development, cybersecurity) tasks will be assigned to improve Bergen’s Promise’s processes and procedures as needed.
This internship experience is available for junior and senior students in the following majors: Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity
Basic knowledge of MS Office Suites, some programming experience helpful. Basic math and information technology knowledge. Interns should understand SDLC and/or Agile project management methodologies.
The intern will…
1. Provide technical support and assist IT Specialist in level 1 help desk support
2. Document the above tech support incidents to maintain proper records
3. Learn the processes and techniques used at Bergen’s Promise to best understand the needs of the youth and the agency.
4. Project planning of above processes and techniques to improve workflow using modern tech stacks
Intern will understand Bergen’s Promise Care Management and workflow.
Intern will effectively assess needs, analyze data, problem solve and articulate their findings to organization stakeholders.
Intern will be able to effectively describe I.T. contributions to the organization stakeholders.
