Bergen's Promise offers structured field placements for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, and related fields. Under the supervision of the Care Management Team, interns will gain hands-on experience supporting youth and families within the children's behavioral health system.
Interns will assist with service coordination, participate in team meetings, connect families to community resources, and learn the wraparound model of care. Through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, interns will develop skills in advocacy, systems navigation, crisis response, and care management. Please note that Bergen's Promise does not provide direct counseling opportunities.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required. Experience working with diverse populations and an interest in social services or related fields is a plus.
