In recognition of May’s Mental Health Month, the Bergen County Board of County Commissioners has recognized Bergen’s Promise for the work we do serving youth and families. Our CEO (Dean Pastras), COO (Shelisa Foster), Director of Health Services (Jan Schlaier), and Health/Community Outreach Specialist (Nuha Kased-Hamoudeh) were presented with a Certificate of Commendation. This is representative of the work that every employee at Bergen’s Promise dedicates towards supporting mental health needs.
The certificate reads “In Honor and Recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month & in appreciation of your commitment to provide exceptional Care Management services to keep youth and families physically and emotionally safe”
In addition, an Official Resolution was signed by the Bergen County Board of Commissioners recognizing May 2024 as Mental Health Awareness Month. The Resolution specifically recognized Bergen’s Promise by stating:
“Whereas we applaud all organizations such as Bergen’s Promise that work to provide innovative partnerships and system improvements to achieve sustainable outcomes for youth, families, staff and other key stakeholders.”
Thank you to all the Board of Commissioners that includes Bergen County Executive James Tedesco, Chairwoman Germaine Ortiz, and Vice Chairwoman Mary Amoroso. We are grateful for your support in continuing to address the mental health challenges that exist throughout our county and community.
