On Wednesday October 4th, Bergen's Promise hosted a Resource Development Networking Event for youth behavioral health resources in Bergen County. A wide variety of community based organizations, schools, banks, health care professionals and more were present to learn about new youth-focused programs/services developed through community partnerships, grants and private funding.
In addition, there was a Special Recognition of Dr. Noor H. Al-Husayni, MD, from the Adolescent Medicine Department of Hackensack Meridian Children‘s Health for her collaboration with Bergen's Promise to provided integrated healthcare services to youth with eating disorders. She was awarded a piece of artwork created by one of her patients who was receiving services through Bergen's Promise. The youth experienced tremendous improvement as a result of the Wraparound care provided through her Child and Family Team that included Dr. Noor.
There were nearly 100 people in attendance making new connections to explore future partnerships. We look forward to future opportunities to create this opportunity for collaboration. The partnerships that were displayed at this event included:
