On Friday, October 9, 2026, Bergen’s Promise joined our fellow Care Management Organizations (CMOs) from across New Jersey at Mill Hill Park in Trenton to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the CMO system. This celebratory event recognized our CMO's lasting impact on children, youth, and families throughout the state.
As one of the 15 CMOs in New Jersey, Bergen’s Promise was proud to join its partners in recognizing this milestone and celebrating the continued commitment to helping youth and families thrive. The Celebration of CMOs: 25 Years & Thriving! brought together CMO representatives, community members, state leaders, and individuals whose lives have been touched by these services. The event highlighted a quarter-century of advocacy, collaboration, resilience, and positive outcomes while raising awareness of the vital support CMOs provide to families across New Jersey.
The celebration featured remarks from leaders in the CMO community, including Serena Romero (CEO of CGS Family Partnership and Secretary of NJCMO) and James Parauda (CEO of Tri-County CMO and President of NJCMO). Attendees also heard from featured speakers Gina Hernandez and Joey Lanigan, who were previously supported by a CMO. Additionally, Assemblywoman Andrea Katz (District 8) and Joseph Ribsam (Acting Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Children and Families) shared some words. Their participation emphasizes the impact of care management services.
In addition to the presentations, the event offered opportunities for attendees to connect, participate in activities, and celebrate the collective work of New Jersey’s CMOs.
NJCMO represents all 15 Care Management Organizations in New Jersey and supports their shared mission through leadership and unified action. For 25 years, the CMO system has played an important role in supporting children, youth, and families, with an emphasis on collaboration and positive outcomes.
