On Thursday August 19th 2021, Bergen’s Promise and Paradigm Therapeutic Day school co-hosted a Lunch & Learn workshop. The event was called, “Regulation of School Anxiety: Making Your Return to School a Success”. As the community heads into a new school year, faced with challenges due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, this school anxiety workshop was offered to the community as a way to bring information, better understanding and resources related to school based anxiety.

Otise Schuk, LCSW - Clinical Director, Paradigm Therapeutic Day School

Daria Tabbacchino, BA - Education Collaboration Manager, Bergen’s Promise
Krystal Martinez, LMSW - Care Manager Supervisor, Bergen’s Promise
Kathy Werheim, MA, MPA - Community Resources Director, Bergen’s Promise
Olivia Duncan - Student speaker, graduate of Paradigm Therapeutic Day school and a Bergen’s Promise youth
The panelists offered attendees a psychiatrist’s overview of anxiety and its treatments, a clinical discussion of self-regulatory skills and community-based resources.
