The Care Management Organizations (CMO) and Family Support Organizations (FSO) of Passaic, Hudson, and Bergen Counties partnered for the 15th Annual Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds Family Wellness Day. The event was for CMO-involved youth and families. It took place on Saturday, June 8th from 9am-2pm at Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park.
As the last of the Mental Health Month Awareness events, this event (sponsored by 25 community organizations) helps to continue open, stigma-free conversations about the connection between physical health and mental well-being. Attendees participated in over 45 different activities offered by community providers whose services span all dimensions of wellbeing. Fun activities included music, obstacle courses, health screenings, crafts, animals, exercise, exploration of the Hope One mobile recovery van, food, raffles, resources, and so much more!
“There were over 500 people registered to enjoy the outdoors, learn about and connect to valuable community resources. By prioritizing both physical health and mental wellness, we can create a brighter, healthier future for all." said Amy Faus, Health Promotions Manager at Bergen’s Promise (Bergen CMO).
Bergen’s Promise (Bergen), Circle of Care (Passaic), and Hudson Partnership (Hudson) are Care Management Organizations that provide community-based services for youth up to age 21 living with behavioral health, substance abuse, or developmental issues and their families.
