Bergen’s Promise is pleased to announce the two organizations that will be awarded Community Resource Development funds to enhance family and youth programming in Bergen County as part of the New Jersey Children’s System of Care’s 2022-2023 funding cycle.
A notice of funding availability was released at the end of February. The request sought applications that proposed accessible programs, services, activities that met specific needs that were identified for two cohorts of at-risk youth and their families. These proposals also embodied the Wraparound principles of the NJ Children’s System of Care.
There were 15 applications submitted for funding. The Review Committee made difficult decisions in establishing priorities among those that met all of the eligibility criteria and whose proposal met the needs identified in one of the two target population groups.
CONGRATULATIONS to:
- The Bergen County Division of Family Guidance who will be developing Grief and Bereavement Services for Bergen County youth and adolescents with emotional and behavioral health challenges and their families.
- MarbleJam Kids, Inc. who will be offering the Heart Life Intensive Youth Program and the PEERS® Teen Social Skills Academic Year program for youth with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
You will be able to find all of these programs/services on BergenResourceNet.org once they have been started!
We are very excited to support these initiatives and look forward to learning about the positive impact these programs will have on the youth and families of Bergen County.
