On Saturday, September 18th, Bergen’s Promise participated in the 2021 New Jersey Recovery Advocates’ Recovery Walk & Rally. This free event was held at Liberty State Park in Jersey City to raise awareness, create synergies and serve as the “tipping point” for effectively addressing the disease of addiction.
It was a beautiful sunny day and attendees had the opportunity to stop by our table to learn more about Bergen’s Promise. In addition, part of the walk included a banner contest which we took part in. The theme for the day was “I am Worthy”. Among the families Bergen’s Promise serves includes those that struggle with addiction. Participating in this event is a great opportunity to not only show our support but to share in the successes of our community. We were glad to be represented at this event.
